Good Fund-Raising
We just finished up our annual garage sale to raise money for summer camp & it went pretty well.
The best part was at noon, we made everything free and took donations. With the exception of one couple who took two boxes full of clothes and 2 VCRs and gave nothing, we did really well with the donations.
I mentioned to my wife that the free thing was pretty cool, because we found out that we were actually helping some people who were down & out, and instead of them going into Goodwill to get our stuff, we got a chance to meet them and talk to them.
We recently heard about an area that did an entire garage sale free – donations only and made a ton of money. Any other fund raising ideas would be appreciated.
